Steel Play Structures

A two level laser tag arena will always outperform a single level arena with everything else considered equal. The experience provided to your guests when they can be tagged from both above and below simulates a 360 degree level of immersion similar to that found in modern video games.

When you build a second level play structure you can do so out of either wood or steel. In years past the cost and ease of building a wood structure have made it the dominant and most attractive option for operators looking build their laser tag attractions. Times are changing.

Many municipalities are beginning to require that any structure within a building must be built out of steel due to fire code. This is almost always a requirement in densely populated cities and dry climates such as the state of California or cities on the east coast.

Many operators are also realizing other benefits of a Steel Play structure such as the ability to claim it as an depreciating asset on your balance sheet. Steel structures retain much of their value for years after construction. The columns, beams, railings, ramps and more are designed with pre-cut holes that are made to be used multiple times without losing any structural integrity. Therefore the materials can be disassembled and reassembled elsewhere if needed or sold to a steel reclamation company in the future.

Working with our partner we have made this process as easy as possible for you. Starting with our overhead layout of your play structure, our fabricator designs and engineers it for your specific seismic zone and lateral load requirements. As part of their service they can also include the required structural design drawings and an engineering stamp of approval to ensure the structure meets all your local code requirements including seismic zone considerations and weight capacity. This removes the learning curve and design time that your architect and general contractor would have to incur, as well as the charges they would likely pass on to you from an outside engineer.

Installation and delivery can be taken care of by us, leaving you more time to focus on the multitude of other items on your plate as you open your facility.
